Our Mission: To serve cattle producers with affordable, high quality Hereford genetics and to do so in a largely forage based program under conditions similar to our commercial customers.

Objectives:

• Balanced Expected Progeny Differences: For example in our 2008 Calf Crop:
  1. Every calf bred and born at Spearhead Ranch (62 head) was above average for CHB Index.
  2. 52 of 62 calves were in the top 10% for CHB!
  3. 61 of 62 calves were above average for the Baldy Maternal Index.
  4. 61 of 62 calves were above average for the Brahman Index.
  5. All of the above achieved with 39 of 62 calves above average for Calving Ease.
• All calves were born on pasture, raised on mothers' milk and forage without creep feeding.
